Bring a blank project, a rough loop, or the track you cannot finish. We work through the decisions keeping it from becoming music you are happy to release.

Ableton workflow

Navigation, routing, session setup, shortcuts, and a workflow you can repeat without getting lost.

Sampling + Simpler

Chopping samples, slicing breaks, warping audio, building playable instruments, and making borrowed sound your own.

Drums that move

Programming breaks, velocity, groove, layering, and the mechanics behind jungle and drum and bass rhythm.

Finish + release

Turn a strong loop into a complete track, make clear decisions, and put out music you are genuinely proud to share.

I teach what I actually use.

I’m Jorge, also known as Deadski. I’m a Tucson producer and DJ with years of experience making electronic music, sampling, producing beats, working with hardware, performing live, and finishing music in Ableton Live.

I will not pretend to know every corner of the program. If your goal falls outside my experience, I’ll tell you. If you use a different DAW, I can still help with the larger creative process, including arrangement, sound choices, production decisions, and finishing tracks, but my technical knowledge of your specific software may be limited. These lessons are about practical music making and helping you move your work forward.

Work from your own setup.

We meet by video and screen share so I can see your Ableton project and guide you in real time. You need a computer, Ableton Live, headphones or speakers, and a stable internet connection.

IN PERSON

Available when it makes sense.

If you are in Tucson and already have a laptop or computer with Ableton ready to go, I may be able to come to you by arrangement. I do not provide a computer or a mobile studio.
